Hazel Seamster

December 31, 1969 — April 2, 2018

Hazel D. Seamster of Rocky Mount, NC (originally from Danville, VA), daughter of the late Charles Olen & Minnie Kate Davis, went to be with her Lord on February 4, 2018.  Hazel was preceded in death by the love of her life, Nelson Maloy Seamster in 2011, her two brothers, Wallace Lee Davis (Louise Davis) and Melvin Sager Davis (Lorraine Davis) and their wives.  She also leaves behind her beloved brother-in-law Ronald E. Seamster of Providence, NC.  Hazel will also be missed by wonderful friend, companion, caregiver and angel, Marie Paris.  Her help and services in the care of Hazel will forever be appreciated and recognized.  In addition, Hazel leaves behind many nieces and nephews (and spouses) that loved her deeply – Vickie Davis Cantelmo (Jim), Larry W. Davis, Hazel Louise Bocstadter (Alan), Dolly Kate Wetzel (Donnie), Rickey Lee Davis (Laura), Melvin S. Davis, Jr. (Monica) and Melvin Charles Davis & mother, Linda M. Davis.  There are numerous friends and great nieces and nephews that will feel her absence but know she is now surrounded by Unconditional Love.  Hazel also leaves her imprint on this earth that she could hopefully be an example to all people of what true Love and Compassion really means.  She will be greatly missed by all.  Visitation & service will be at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church with the Reverend Susan Hannah officiating, 3090 N. Main Street, Danville, VA on Thursday, February 8th at 12:30-1:30 pm visitation and service at 2:00 pm.  Burial will be held at Highland Burial Park, 3059 N. Main St/Piney Forest Road, Danville, VA.
