Glenn Pruitt

Glenn Arthur Pruitt, 60, of Pelham, NC passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born on January 14, 1957 in Danville, a son of the late George Washington Pruitt, Jr. and Hazel Mae Cook Pruitt. Glenn was a retired mechanic who was regarded as one of the best around. He had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. He was a member of Sheldon Baptist Church. He is survived by two brothers, George “Albert” Pruitt (Linda) and Butch Blair and wife, Victoria; a sister, Karen Gregory and husband Danny; several special nieces and nephews; and “grandchildren” McKinley Pyron, Jayce Pyron, and Haylee Davis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Sheldon Baptist Church, 2486 Old US Hwy 29, Pelham, NC 27311 with Rev. Dr. Timothy Anderson and Rev. Kenneth Hall officiating.  Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 PM on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Sheldon Baptist Church and at other times the family will be at the Gregory residence, 1193 Arch Cook Rd., Pelham, NC 27311.
