George Pruitt

George Albert Pruitt, 68, of Pelham, NC went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 10, 2018. Born on April 11, 1949, he was a son of the late George “Doc” and Hazel Mae Cook Pruitt. Albert was a member of Sheldon Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors and especially mowing grass. He loved to be able to work on cars. His greatest enjoyment was to be around his loving family and helping others. He is survived by his three daughters, Teresa Jackson, (Wayne), Tammy Willard, (Wesley), and Torie Leftwich, (Jason); five grandchildren, Hunter and Dawson Jackson, Meghan Willard, Austen Davis, and Kole Leftwich; great grandson, Levi Jackson; sister, Karen Gregory, (Danny); several special nieces and nephews; girlfriend, Linda Fulton and his beloved Buttercup. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Pruitt. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sheldon Baptist Church. At other times the family will be at the residence of Tammy Willard, 1187 Arch Cook Road, Pelham, NC 27311. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
