Fred Kenneth Webb Fred Kenneth Webb, of 533 Piney Forest Road, Danville, VA, passed away at his home on October 25, 2012. He was born on January 12, 1931, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Jesse Herman Webb and the late Hazel Spangler Webb Roberson. He was also predeceased by a sister Jewel Webb Reeves and by two brothers, Frank O. Webb and Jesse H. Webb, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lessie Emerson Webb; four children, Donna Webb of Danville, VA, Jennifer Webb Turner and her husband Carroll of Shipman, VA, Fred K. Webb, Jr. of Danville, VA, and Sarah Webb Kubic and her husband Dan of River Falls, WI; five grandchildren, Chad Turner and his wife Stephanie of Charlottesville, VA Travis Turner and his fiancée Sarah Hanlin of Charlottesville, VA, Dr. Krista Turner Kitchen and her husband Dr. Tony Kitchen of Northhampton, Mass., Jennifer Kubic of Phoenix, AZ, and Briana Kubic of River Falls, WI; one great-granddaughter, Emily Turner; and two brothers, Eldon Webb of Collinsville, VA and Joseph Webb of Danville, VA. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He learned to weld while in the Navy and worked as a welder for various companies before starting his own business, Fred Webb Welding. He was a member of Good Home Primitive Baptist Church in Axton, VA, where he served as a deacon and treasurer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm from Townes Memorial Chapel with Elder Kenneth Bowles, Elder Jamie Hancock and Elder Dan Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 7 to 8:30 pm at Townes Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of his daughter, Donna Webb, 117 Hemlock Drive.
