Frank Albert Losee, 80, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on March 12, 2024.

Frank was born in Charleston, West Virginia, on November 26, 1943 to Robert and Elizabeth Losee. He served in the United States Air Force in active duty from February 6, 1962 to February 4, 1966. For most of his adult life, Frank was a commercial artist, working for ad agencies and two TV stations in the Tampa Bay Area. Frank loved creating beautiful things, everything from drawing and photography, to making jewelry and stained-glass windows, to crafting intricate models of boats and restoring fine antique furniture. He was an avid reader with a love of history, and enjoyed working on computers and navigating flight simulators. He was also an advanced class amateur (ham) radio operator (KU4EY), a flyer of radio-controlled planes, and a safety officer and flight training instructor of the Can-Am Flyers of San Antonio, Florida.

He is preceded in death by his parents. In addition to his wife, those left to remember his legacy of kindness and creativity include a sister Dr. Roberta Burton of Danville; a brother the Reverend John Losee (Diane) of Danville; and two nieces, Kim Aldrich (Brooke) of Marietta, Georgia, and the Reverend Kim Losee of Danville; and a great-nephew Max.

Visitation will be March 25, 2024 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Townes Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Danville National Cemetery, 721 Lee St., with the Reverend Kim Losee officiating. All are invited to the graveside service.
