Frank Thomas "Tommy" Grogan IV, 32, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 2, 2015 in Greensboro, NC. He was born on May 12, 1983 in Danville, VA to his parents Dr. Frank T. Grogan, III and Cathy White Grogan. Tommy was a 2001 graduate of George Washington High School and a 2005 graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned a degree in biology. He also studied Dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. He was employed with Carolina Surgical Arts in Greensboro. He was a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. Tommy was an Eagle Scout and lived a life full of adventure. He loved hiking and camping, wave boarding, snowboarding, surfing and riding his motorcycle. His compassionate and nurturing nature made him a natural people-person. Tommy is predeceased by his grandparents, Ernest and Nancy White of Montgomery, AL and Alice and Frank T. Grogan, Jr. of Danville, VA. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kelly Jordan and husband, Patrick and their sons, Ethan and Nick. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 7th at 2:00 pm at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church with the Reverend Barry Foster officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends prior to funeral service in the church fellowship hall from 12:30 to 1:45 pm. Memorials may be made to Danville Area Humane Society, P. O.
