Frances Barker

Frances Marion Triplett Barker, 82, of Courtland Street, died Monday, June 17, 2013 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born on October 15, 1930 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Walter M. Triplett and Lucy Boyd Triplett. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Betty Triplett Powell. She was educated in Danville and graduated from Averett College. She was a member of West Main Baptist Church. Mrs. Barker is survived by one son, Dr. Christopher J. Barker; her daughter-in-law Donna L. Barker; and three grandchildren Adam L. Barker, Kristina M. Barker and Andrew Barker. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 21, 2013 at 2 PM from West Main Baptist Church by the Reverend Jeffrey Wright. The family will receive friends at the church, one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
