Mrs. Fay Abbott of 3439 Tom Fork Road, Ringgold died on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Danville Regional Medical Center after a decline in health. Mrs. Abbott was born on June 30, 1943 in Danville, a daughter of the late Clyde Bonton and Lula Payne. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Harvey Wayne Abbott who died in 2002. Mrs. Abbott was a member of North Danville Church of Christ. She worked at Disston and CIT, and was retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company. Mrs. Abbott was an avid collector of thimbles and she loved quilting. Survivors are a daughter; Joann Sisk and her husband Herb of Gretna and a son Al Pierce III and his wife Denise of Sutherlin, step-children, Johnny Abbott and his wife Alice of Danville, Timmy Abbott and his wife Sylvia of Danville, Cindy Parsons and her husband Larry of Chatham and the late Wendy Eubank and her husband Ray of Gretna. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Jason Bibee and his companion Jenny of California, Justin Bibee and his wife Emily of Maryland, Nick Bibee and his wife Sheena of Lynchburg and Nat Bibee of Lynchburg, Jacob Pierce, Crystal Davis, Tiffany Pierce all of Danville and Hope Pierce of Indiana and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters and brothers; the late Dorothy Pelz who has passed and her husband Bob of Ringgold. Jimmie Bonton and his wife Theresa of Burlington, WI, Aubrey Bonton of Atlanta GA and Norma Myers and her husband Norman (Pee Wee) of Chatham. Also surviving are a special nephew and niece, Curtis and Debbie Boyd and her special four legged companions Asher and Raschal. Funeral services will be held on Sunday December 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Townes Memorial Chapel with Reverend Hershel Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends at Townes Funeral Home on December 26, 2015 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence, 3439 Tom Fork Road in Ringgold.
