Eunice Scearce

Mrs. Eunice Calvert Scearce (Cisie), age 83 died on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Roman Eagle Memorial Home after a decline in heath. She was born in Pittsylvania Co., VA on December 19, 1929, a daughter of the late Henry L. Calvert and Carrie Scearce Calvert. Mrs. Scearce was married to the late Paul Bennett Scearce, Jr. She was associated for many years with J. T. Townes Printing Company and was a member of Saint Luke's United Methodist Church. Mrs. Scearce was a graduate of Schoolfield High School. Besides her husband and parents Mrs. Scearce was predeceased by a son, Gary Stephen Scearce and siblings, Ruby Calvert, Virginia Poteat, Lynberg Calvert and Lois C. Pitcher. She is survived by three sons; Kenneth Scearce of Winter Park, FL, Timothy D. Scearce of Victorville, CA and Philip C. Scearce of Washington, DC. Also surviving are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. from the graveside at Danville Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Dr. Paul Phillips officiating. The family requests that memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends at the home of her niece, Barbara Baugher, 1029 Ridgecrest Drive. Townes Funeral Home and Crematory, 215 West Main Street is serving the Scearce family.
