Mrs. Ella Brackin Willis of 321 Wrenn Drive went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Danville Regional Medical Center. She was born in Danville on May 19, 1932, a daughter of the late John Marvin Brackin and Mabel Dixon Brackin. Mrs. Willis was a member of United Baptist Church and was a graduate of Stratford College. Besides her parents she was predeceased by three brothers, Richard Brackin, John Brackin and Bobby Brackin. On August 31, 1956 she married William Cleo Willis, Sr. who survives of the home. She is also survived by a son, William C. Willis, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Danville, daughter, Tammy W. Meadows and her husband Barry of Danville, one brother, Armstead Brackin of Danville, three grandchildren, Stephanie W. Oberbeck, Stephen Willis and Samantha Meadows, two great-grandchildren, Lilyanne Oberbeck and A. J. Law. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. from Union United Methodist Church in Leasburg, NC with Adam Woods, Pastor at United Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Townes Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 7 to 8:30 P.M. and at other times will be at the residence.
