HUNT, Elizabeth Bridgforth, most cherished wife, daughter, sister, and friend, went peacefully to the Lord on January 6, 2016. The wife of Andrew Austin Hunt, daughter of Robert and Georgie H. Bridgforth, sister of William Macon Bridgforth, maternal granddaughter of George and Cliffie Hobgood (deceased) and paternal granddaughter of Richard and Nancy Bridgforth (deceased), Elizabeth was born in Danville, Virginia on May 16, 1984. Elizabeth received an IB diploma from Carlisle School, where she was a member of the tennis and soccer teams, a cheerleader and a performer in several theatrical productions. At the College of William & Mary, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and Orchesis Dance Company. She was proud to attend the University of Singapore and complete an internship under the guidance of the Quay family. Elizabeth later worked in Washington, DC for the FreerSackler Gallery at the Smithsonian Institution. Her faith and her boundless spirit led her to travel all over the world. With the Last Well, she summited mountains to provide drinking water in Liberia. With her family and friends, she hiked, dived, skied, hunted warthogs, laughed, and danced in countless countries. She completed an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. She married Andrew Hunt in 2013 and the couple made their home in Richmond, where Elizabeth passionately built her career in global marketing for WestRock. Her husband, parents, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues will remember that amidst her dynamism and ambition, she most valued quality time with loved ones, especially on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2016, at West Main Baptist Church, 450 West Main Street, Danville, Virginia. The family will receive guests at the Bridgforth home.
