Darlene Dodd

June 26, 1957 — February 10, 2019

By the grace of Almighty God, Darlene Fowlkes Dodd is healed and walking those streets of gold with her Mom.  Darlene took her last breath in a broken body that she shed here on earth on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.  Born on June 26, 1957 the daughter of Lewis Fowlkes and Juanita Owen Fowlkes that predeceased her.  On February 14, 1981 she married Ronnie Dodd who survives.  She was of the Methodist faith and prior to her decline in health she was a weaver in Dan River Mills. Surviving are her children, Angela Goddard (Tommy), Ronnie Dodd II, Carol Willis (Dennis), Jamie Dodd, grandchildren Tyler, Jantzen, Alanna, Blake, Skyla, Rallye, Devin, Kinley, and Kyleigh.  Great grandchildren, Chase, Madison, and Isabella one sister Sandra Brewer, one brother Donald Fowlkes (Kim).  Special friends and loving caretakers Pam Dunn and Angela Harville and her four legged friend Smokey. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30pm Friday, October 4, at Townes Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Angela Goddard, 114 Arbor Place, Danville, VA.  The Funeral will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 10:30am at the Townes Memorial Chapel.  Casual attire preferred.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to The National MS Society or the Ringgold Fire Department.
