Daniel M. Everett “Mutt”, of Blanch, NC, passed away on June 20, 2022, at SOVAH Health, after a decline in health for one year. He was born on May 17, 1954, in Danville, to the late Irvin “Bud” Everett and Jean Helen Everett. He was a 1972 graduate of Bartlett Yancey Senior High School and attended Danville Community College. In 1975, he went to work for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where he retired. While at Goodyear, he started his landscaping business Cedar Ridge Farm and Landscaping. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth Tate; his two sons, Matthew Daniel Everett and his wife Amy, and Andrew Carrington Everett; and two grandsons, Adam Murphy Everett and Connor Harris Everett. He is also survived two brothers Keith Everett and wife Cindy, and John and wife Cindi; and his two sisters, Deborah E. Bernard and Rachel E. Titus. He is also survived by 3 nephews and 5 nieces and their children. Danny was loyal to his family and all of his friends. His football and rugby friends were a big part of his life. A big thank you to all who visited him at Roman Eagle and thank you to the staff. “May the road rise to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and the rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.” A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany with The Reverend Janine Driscoll officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.
