Clifford Leon Price, 94, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 2, 2017 in the Danville Regional Medical Center. He was born on January 19, 1923 in Danville, VA a son of the late Henry Seldon Price and Marjorie Fearn Price. Cliff was a graduate of Schoolfield High School. He was a Veteran of World War II and served in the United States Army. Following his service in the Army, he returned to Danville, completed his education and was employed with Dan River for a brief period. He then was employed with the City of Danville in the Water Treatment Plant until he retired. He was a member of Saint Luke’s United Methodist Church, and the Danville Luncheon Lions Club for 37 years. Cliff was first married to Frances Hubbard Price who passed away on January 28, 2001, and later he married the former Clarice Brumfield Hundley on August 25, 2002. He is survived by his wife Clarice; two brothers, Aubrey Junior Price, of Danville, Norman Price and his wife, Catherine of Richmond, VA; a step-son-in-law, Wayne Yeaman of Danville; step-grandchildren, Laura Anne Collins and her husband, Don of Greensboro, NC and Malcolm Gordon Booth of Danville; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Herman Price and Norval Price; two sisters, Estelle Kendrick and Joyce Pembleton; two step-daughters, Judy Yeaman and Brenda Pobol; and a step-grandson, Richard Hundley Booth. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Saint Luke’s United Methodist Church, at 3:00 PM with the Reverend Susan Hannah and the Reverend Ron Mateer officiating. Burial with full military honors by American Legion Post 1097 will follow in Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM prior to the funeral and at other times at the residence 123 Shannon Drive.
