Cleda Worley Mann, 88, of Danville, widow of Lynwood J. “Toots” Mann, Sr., went home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 18, 2018 at her residence. Born March 25, 1930 in the Schoolfield Community, she was the daughter of the late General Washington and Mary Doss Worley. Cleda was a graduate of Schoolfield High School, class of 1948 and retired from Dan River Mills. She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Old Dominion ABWA, the Schoolfield High School Reunion Committee, and the Dan River Retirees Club. Cleda was a special wife, mother, mother-in-law, and friend. She enjoyed travelling and helping others. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son, Lynwood J. Mann, Jr., and wife, Sylvia; a brother, Robert Bobby Worley, and wife, Sue; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and many special friends. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Townes Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity on one’s choice.
