Charles Roland Moss, Jr., 83, of Danville, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. He was born on October 7, 1936 to the late Charles and Gladys Moss. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Nancy Coleman Moss, in 2017, and their only child, David Charles Moss, in 2008. Charles was a 1963 graduate of Virginia Tech and before his retirement, he was employed by Amoco and BP oil companies, where he held various positions, including general manager of polypropylene product manufacturing and distribution in the People’s Republic of China. He attended Saint Luke’s United Methodist Church. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Laura Moss; two grandchildren, Riley and Wyatt Moss; and two sisters, Gladys McBride and Patsy Finney, and husband, Alfred; and nieces and nephews, John and Erica Reynolds, Vanessa and Jim Scearce, and Lynette White. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Burial Park with the Reverend Bob Huffman officiating. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your favorite charity.
