Chantal Bette Booth, age 63, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 19th, 2018 at SOVAH Health Danville Hospital in Virginia. She was born October 14th, 1954 in Belgium to Madeleine Marie (Bréda) and Richard Bette. She married Edgar A. Booth on February 23rd, 1977 and was a very loving and devoted wife. She farmed, enjoyed canning foods, playing cards and board games, and enjoyed crocheting. She loved spending time with her many grandchildren. She had a special bond with her many cats and dogs. She is survived by her husband, Edgar; Siblings: Madame Myriam and Madame Gilberte; Step Children: Deborah B. Murray (John), Petra Wilson (Robert), Janet Hormeß (Manfred); Grandchildren: Mark E. Young, II (Kari), Blake A. Young, Christina N. Boyer (Abram), Robert Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Caitlyn Wilson, Sarah Hormeß, Daniel Hormeß, Selina Hormeß, and Jonas Hormeß; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Madeleine and Richard, as well as Siblings: Madame Elvire Bette, Monsieur Désiré Bette, Madame Josée Bette, Madame Jacqueline Bette, and Madame Bernadette Bette. The funeral service will be at Townes Memorial Chapel, 215 W Main Street, Danville, VA 24541 at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 with visitation from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM and at other times at the residence, 143 Pruitt Road, Pelham, NC 27311. Burial will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens, 510 Church Avenue, Danville, VA 24541.
