Brenda Parrish

Brenda Faye Johnson Parrish, 78 of Danville, VA died Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Roman Eagle Rehabilitation after a decline in health over the past six months.

Mrs. Parrish was born in South Boston, VA on June 21, 1946, a daughter of the late Aloys Newton Johnson and Roger Champion Johnson. Mrs. Parrish previously worked for Belk and as a teller at VA Bank and Trust.

Brenda was predeceased by her loving husband, Edwin Boyd Parrish, her sister, Nancy J Hackney and a brother, R.C. Johnson.

Survivors include her sons, Taylor Boyd Parrish (Katie) and Clark Edwin Parrish, her grandchildren, Alyssa Parrish Francis (Ethan) and Gavin Boyd Parrish (Haley), her brother Michael Johnson (Beverly), and several special nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her soon to be born Great Granddaughter Amelia Francis.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Townes Funeral Home with the Reverend Joe Northen officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
