Beverley Talbott

December 31, 1969 — June 3, 2017

Beverley Chewning Talbott, formerly of Danville, died peacefully at Westminster Canterbury in Richmond at age 87 on March 6th, 2017 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Garland Chewning and Mary Chenery Chewning. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Frank Talbott III; their children, Mary Beverley Talbott and Frank Talbott IV (Bocky); and grandchildren, Frank Talbott V (Emily), Matthew McKinnon Talbott, and Garland Stephens Talbott.    Beverley was a graduate of Saint Catherine’s School and Hollins University. At Hollins, she was elected May Queen by her graduating class in 1951. She later served as a member of the Alumnae Board.   While a resident of Danville, she was a member of the Gabriella Garden Club, The Wednesday Club, and was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Danville Speech and Hearing Clinic.   Bev loved playing golf and bridge with her friends in Danville and in Richmond. At age 83, she scored her first " hole in one" on the par 3 second hole at the Country Club of Virginia Westhampton Golf Course.   A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, March 24th at 2:00 PM at Green Hill Cemetery in Danville, Virginia.
