Barbara Willis Kemp, 90, of Danville, VA, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
She was born on March 28, 1932, in Danville, VA, to the late William Harold Willis and Bertha Chattin Willis. She was married to John R. Kemp, Jr., who predeceased her in August of 2001. She was a member of Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church, in Fishersville, VA. She was very active in the Waynesboro Chapter of the AARP. She graduated from George Washington High School in Danville but years later relocated to Waynesboro, VA, where she lived most of her life. She recently returned to Danville.
She is survived by her son, John R. Kemp, III and wife Judi, of Raleigh, NC; her granddaughter, Jessica Kemp, of Washington, DC; her granddaughter-in-law, Monica Kemp; and three great grandchildren, Jackson, Austin, and Siena Kemp, all of New Jersey.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her grandson, Jason Kemp.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM in Highland Burial Park with the Reverend Joe Northen officiating.
